Description:   

Establish and develop an IT hub for a large international company.  The position will travel approximately 30% throughout the U.S. and Canada. 

 

Responsibilities:

Analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation

 

Maintaining network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, Laptops, Persona Computers, IPad and IPhones, terminals and wired and wireless connections

 

Evaluating network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations, gathers quotes and presents solutions with budgets to upper management.

 

Checking systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures

 

Establishing budgetary requirements for equipment replacement

 

Establishing and controlling systems access and security

 

Providing support to and training  users in local area network administration and personal computer usage

 

Will directly supervise employees in multiple locations and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE:

Bachelor degree

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with multiple locations

8 or more years IT experience showing progressive growth

Experience with various PC/laptops/servers/iPhone, iPad, Cisco routers switches and access points, laser printers network attached, video conferencing

Experience with virus protections, email (exchange), spam filtering, web filtering, ad, VoIP, file and print services, MS Operating systems, SharePoint, MPLS, and QOS

 

Plusses:

Experience in developing and establishing a help desk environment

Experience in cloud computing networked environments

Experience in international networking
