Description:   

The ideal junior staff accountant is looking to join an entrepreneurial company where they'll perform a variety of financial reporting activities. This is a high-visibility role with tremendous opportunity for growth.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all accounting functions related to the month end close including Cash, Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals/AP, Payroll/Social Costs, Bonus, etc.

Assist with the external/financial audit process

General Ledger Accounting including reconciliations, journal entries and other month-end close responsibilities

Performs account and variance analysis

Coordinates with third parties on the close and other day-to-day accounting activities

Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required

1-3 years of accounting experience

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel skills

QuickBooks or other accounting system experience a plus

 

Competencies:

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Ability to multi-task and manage priorities

Highly self -motivated with ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
