Description:
Bachelor’s degree
15+ years’ experience in IT, with experience in a senior management role leading a staff of at least 10 senior technologists
• 5+ years’ experience in project management of major development projects
In addition:
• Significant experience and knowledge in implementing IT architectures and networked computing structures as an employee of a large corporation
• Short- and long-term strategic planning expertise that produced innovative technology solutions for implementation across multiple disciplines
• Excellent oral and written communications skills with technical and non-technical clients; demonstrated ability to present and discuss complex technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and approval
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, and marketing skills to work with users, senior management, and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines
• Strong relationship building and relationship management skills, along with the ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse personalities across the organization on a variety of cross-functional projects
• Exceptional project management skills, effectively arranging resources and managing multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
PLUSSES
• Graduate degree in Business or Management
• Knowledge of the energy industry
• In-depth experience with SAP, Trading systems, risk management, and large enterprise systems
Provide business units with the technology vision and leadership to assure the timely, innovative and cost-effective use of technology in order to achieve the firm’s desired outcomes, improve business productivity and enable business growth. Develop a strategic technology direction, long-term IT investment strategy, and a business applications/technology architecture aligned with business objectives and strategy to propel the company forward. Establish strong credibility and rapport, and develop relationships with the internal lines of business to promote trust and confidence in the technology leadership team. Establish value-enabling architecture management processes required to meet business objectives and maintain technology currency. Coordinate technology strategic planning, actively seeking ways to leverage the integration of business processes with applicable emerging technologies in order to improve and streamline operations and services in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Apply advanced technical knowledge and skills in assessing technical requirements and develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation.
