Description:   

Responsible for operations, maintenance, and long-term planning of the network and telephony infrastructure.

 

•       Prepare and maintain documentation of the overall network topology, equipment inventory, and the configuration of network infrastructure devices.

•       Develop and maintain a multi-year plan for network infrastructure hardware replacement and upgrade.

•       Conduct research on network upgrades and components to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systems.

•       Keeps abreast with trends and latest developments in network environments and recommends best practices

•       Oversee Network Operations

•       Standardizes process for network and infrastructure upgrades

•       Maintain and support network infrastructure, including wired and wireless network

•       Maintains and supports Telephone systems (Avaya, Inter-tel).

•       Troubleshoots and resolves network problems.

•       Monitor, analyze, and evaluate network performance and resolves identified degradation trends and problem areas; uses data gathered to make recommendations for future improvements.

•       Develops written network security procedures and processes that addresses client devices and network infrastructure equipment.

•       Monitors network security, proactively identifying areas of weakness and correcting them as appropriate.

•       Reviews published reports of security issues, and develops and implements plans to address these issues on district systems.

•       Troubleshoots and resolves problems related to phone systems.Security Cameras and Access Control

•       Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to cameras and access control.

•       Supervise and evaluate computer technicians and network employees.

•       Assists with IT staffing and budgeting projections

•       Promotes creative and innovative thinking from team members.

 

REQUIREMENTS

•       Bachelor's degree

•       Project management experience.

•       Ability to design, deploy and maintain various data networks including cloud-based infrastructure.​

•       Strong organizational skills, and experience managing and developing a team of employees.
