Description:   
Own & champion software product lines throughout their lifecycle through the development of detailed growth projections by product line and the creation of integrated marketing plans in support of business strategies.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Own annual and long-term product line performance for revenue and/or margin.
Develop both short and long-term product strategies to grow product line and market share while supporting the business initiatives complete with market potential and competitive analysis.
Develop detailed, five-year growth projections per product line complete with supporting information.
Design integrated marketing plans with budgets by product line(s) that include specific tactics such as advertising, round table discussions, webinars, presentations, articles and other promotional ideas.
Coordinate with various functional departments to enable optimum coordination between cross-functional team members, understands and removes barriers to keep projects and initiatives on track.
Provide big picture brand and marketing message.
Review all product line sales and marketing materials.
Be an expert on the competition.
Promote the voice of the customer/industry within company by understanding the needs and issues whether real or perceived.
Evaluate opportunities within product line in other industries/markets.
Provide sales support to achieve maximum value for product line and company.   
Manage/prioritize product enhancements and new product introductions designed to grow the product line.
Manage and/or participate in all facets of product realization.
Communicate annual goal progress quarterly.
Strategically manage products throughout their entire lifecycle, develop product roadmaps, and communicate updates quarterly.
Develop and evaluate both pricing and margin strategies per product line.
Participate in large scale, external product/brand presentations.
Support the company brand by managing the product line hierarchy, product classifications, and product naming schemes.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS:
The qualified candidate will have product management experience with software product applications, ideally in an Agile environment, demonstrated success in product ownership and proven marketing experience with a focus on research, market and pricing strategies.
 
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field and a minimum of 3 year's related experience with knowledge of formal product realization and SDLC processes is required.
