This Application Developer position will support business process redesign and systems implementations within the PROSPER program and beyond. Key IT initiatives within the program include the implementation of a trade order management system, an investments data hub and data warehouse, and performance attribution and fixed income analytics systems, as well as compliance and allocation process automation and improvements.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to develop, enhance, and maintain investment applications in support of business operations. Supported applications may include custom-developed and third-party vendor applications, as well as integration interfaces between these systems. The role may include database programming, as well as Web interface and traditional UI development.

A background in fixed income investments or quantitative analysis is strongly preferred.

Required technical skills include:
• Strong background in client/server, Web-based, and database programming
• Preferred toolsets include J2EE tools and Microsoft C#/VS.Net
• Strong database skills, including SQL programming such as SPs, triggers, views, etc., and performance tuning of these objects
• Preferred database experience with Oracle and PL/SQL Server
• Expertise in manipulating heterogeneous data sources within application code
• Experience in configuring and supporting third-party vendor applications
• Good understanding of server and operating system support and configuration
• Preferred OS platforms include Solaris and Windows

Additional desirable skills include:
• Data modeling and database design experience
• Knowledge of fixed income and real estate investments, quantitative analysis, investment accounting, or risk management
• Experience with requirements design and modeling techniques, including UML
• Experience with data and application integration (ETL/EAI)
• Preferred integration tools include Informatica for ETL, and IBM MQ Series / WebSphere Business Integration Server
• Project management experience is a plus
