Job Description:	Database developer - 95 base or so plus bonus > Area EIS - Jersey City - wants mid level developer, not too senior for this spot > The Enterprise Information Services (EIS) team implements technologies and practices that promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of business information. We work with our users to deploy business solutions that maximize the value of our enterprise information to increase competitiveness, restructure business processes, simplify information access, and better understand their data.> > > Project, Role & Responsibilities > Trader Portal group is currently looking for a Database Developer to build a portal and a BI solution for Capital Markets (Fixed Income and Equities). This portal will serve as a one-stop-shop for trading, research and sales functional groups globally to focus on client development and increase business. BI module will facilitate the analytical reporting capabilities. > > Responsibilities > > * Reports to the team lead for Trader Portal. > * Over the next twelve months the team is looking to migrate existing database from Sybase to DB2 UDB and ETLs using the Informatica tool. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in migrating over to this new infrastructure. > * Participate in analysis, design and development of new functionality for the application > * Make design decisions based upon trade-offs of performance and data integrity > * Work with team lead/project manager to set the technical direction/architecture > * Liaise with DBA and System admin groups > * Support the live application in the production environment > * Work across multiple project stream simultaneously. > > > QUALIFICATIONS: > > * 3+ years of Data warehousing experience. > * Good knowledge of Sybase/UDB database development > * Strong SQL Skills > * Knowledge of ETL tools, preferably Informatica and UNIX shell scripting > * Database performance tuning experience > * Delivered Logical and Physical Data models for both multi-dimensional OLAP and OLTP systems > * Good understanding of Trading system data model > * Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills > * Self-motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic environment that demands multi-tasking > * Good verbal and written communication skills > > Plus points: > * Ability to write MDX queries. > * Exposure to Microsoft Analysis Services, Cube building and Proclarity > * Exposure to reporting tools like BO/Cognos/Hyperion > * Exposure to the Investment banking/Capital Markets industry > * Basic knowledge on Fixed Income, Equities, Risk and BPM Domain
