Job Description:	Product Manager: Location: Boston We are currently in need of a Product Manager who can work across modules (workbench, modeler, blotter, compliance, settlements, etc.) and instrument types but expertise levels within Hedge Funds. Responsibilities: * Gathers requirements from internal & external parties (clients, partners, vendors, etc.) and creates business requirement specifications * Prepares product impact assessment, reviews with engineering groups, estimates effort * Summarizes the task for wider internal & external reviews and funding decisions * Analyzes priorities and makes recommendations for product calendar * Creates functional specifications and reviews with interested parties * Contributes to QA test plan and resource assignments * Reviews development process on an ongoing basis * Demonstrates prototypes to interested parties, assesses usability * Reviews the QA and documentation process on an ongoing basis * Prepares product literature and placement strategy * Coordinates training and support resources Requirements/Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree * Specific knowledge of the investment industry with a major focus on Hedge Funds * 7+ years of experience in either product management or systems analysis developing and delivering a multi-tier financial application * Strong technical and architectural background (Java and .NET experience preferred) * Proven experience in managing development of similar products * Strong individual contributor with high motivation, with the ability to take initiative, set priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidance * Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, ability to work with many internal and external parties and coordinate efforts so all interested parties are informed and working towards the common goal within the same timeframe.
