Senior Business Analyst NYC Asset Management

Position: Senior Business Analyst - IMD Max 105-112,500 base plus bonus - NYC Asset management or compliance exp preferred

Responsibilities:

* Originate and manage large-scale project/firm initiatives with multiple business and technical stakeholders.

* Develop business requirements, and with the technology team transform these requirements into technical specification for IT builds.

* Capture current business workflow and processes, and re-design for future state.

* Create project plans and monitor/track project milestones and deadlines

* Full IT project lifecycle management (startup through deployment)

* Manage team resources, maintain project budgets

* Maintain issue logs, and mitigate project risks

* Liaison between business and technology

Required Skills:

* Previous working experience in leading and managing complex projects

* Background supporting AIMR performance measurement reporting a plus

* Work independently. Attention to details.

* Hard working, self motivated, and assertive

* Excellent organizational skills

* Foster team building. Able to manage people with diverse background

* Experience in business process improvement

* Capable of facilitating meetings

* Knowledgeable of current technology architecture

* Knowledge of and working experience in database design and implementation

* Ability to create screen designs/mock-ups, and report definitions

* Skills in Microsoft Office/Project, ability to create documentation and presentation, develop spreadsheet, cost models, ROI analysis and justifications

* Strong communication skills (verbal/written).

* Ability to create/present executive level report and presentations

Business Experience & Education:

* BS/MS/MBA (management information systems, computer science)

* 5-8 years progressive work experience in a capital market technology organization

* Project Management certification a plus

* Prior technical working experience a plus (developer, DBA etc.)

* Industry certification (NASD Series 7) a plus
