Selling of all credit, non-credit products and services to companies with annual sales between 50 million and 500 million in the market area. Develop strategies for maintaining and further penetrating existing accounts. Execute the strategy with calls, visits, needs assessment, customer qualification, and a meeting follow up to maintain, enhance, and expand customer relationships. Work closely with marketing and the Sales Manager to generate, qualify, and prioritize new prospects. Develop, expand, and maintain referral sources. Requirements: Undergraduate degree required. Majors in Business, Finance, or Economics preferred. Professional proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution, and follow up of customer meetings. Strong customer needs assessment and problem solving skills. 5 years commercial, corporate, middle market banking prior experience required, which includes both commercial sales and underwriting. Ability and strong desire to interact with customers on a daily basis, including strong oral and written communication skills. Capable of organizing, facilitating, leading, and negotiating with team of bank personnel to solve customers' problems. Demonstrates mastery of the spectrum of Wachovia products including international, cash management, capital markets, capital management, leasing, and consumer products. Industry specific knowledge for targeted industry preferred. Capable of organizing and leading involved sales initiatives, including generating complex, customized proposals. Must be highly motivated, self-starter that exhibits a high level of initiative and creativity.
