Job Description	The Sustaining Network Engineer/Manager will be responsible for management of a team of professionals while delivering on projects from a management perspective as well as hands on technical expertise.   Responsibilities will include: Rollout and deployment of certified vendor code across the enterprise.  Work includes coordination of project with various business units, testers, and technical expertise to deploy software. Rollout of new configuration standards to address evolving network needs, ie. security issues, bug remediation requirements, etc.. Work hand-in-hand with senior staff in network capacity planning, disaster recovery, network upgrades, and consistent improvement of network security and availability Provide clear and detailed documentation on all relevant projects Extensive project management experience and able to broker conflicting inputs.   Expected Background   6+ years of professional networking experience that includes in-depth knowledge of WAN and LAN architecture and equipment, Including various types of: Ø      Cisco and Nortel routers Ø      L3 switches Ø      PIX Firewalls Ø      CSS and GSS Load Balancers Cisco IOS (Hybrid and Native) and Pix OS, access control lists, policy routing NAT, HSRP, VLANs, and VPNs Strong to expert knowledge of the following routing protocols (BGP, RIP2, OSPF) Demonstrated ability to simultaneously and successfully handle multiple, disparate projects while supporting end-users (in person and over the phone) Must be able to operate effectively and cooperatively within the IT department to enable the department to function cohesively and to provide excellent customer service across firm departments Protocol Analysis using sniffers.
