Trading and equities is a plus. Based in Mid town, pays 95k

As discussed below are the requirements for the production support position we are looking to fill:

• The candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and must be well versed in supporting a production trading environment in the Equities Market space
• The candidate will ideally have worked with some of the products listed below
  * Fidessa Workstation
  * NYFIX
  * SunGuard Products including - UMA/U2, Brass, Phase III
  * Reuters Workstation / Triad
  * Thompson Product Suite / ILX
  * Tradeware
  * Bloomberg Workstation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of management and business users, ability to multitask is essential
• Responsibilities will include supporting all external connections, working closely with telecom vendors, network providers and exchanges to enhance systems as well as track and identify problem
• Candidate will be a liason between the Development group and the trading desk

Technical Background:

• Experience with the FIX protocol
• Understanding of Sybase and SQL
• Experience in troubleshooting issues on both UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Understanding of Autosys is a plus
