The SOA Strategy&Architecture Solutions Manager for the Travel & Transportation sector works with the Distribution Sector SOA Practice Leader to develop new business opportunities leading to client acceptance of services delivery proposals. The candidate combines technical architecture expertise with sales to lead & support the sales of complex services engagements. They must have the ability to develop effective client relationships with senior IT managers & business leaders. Able to identify new business opportunities/skilled in business development/have strong writing/presentation/mentoring skills.

Candidate Must Have :
* Preferred candidates will have a 15+ years experience as a lead architect working with business & technology leaders to introduce new technologies and demonstrated experience working as a lead architect with a major Airline/Hotel Chain/Freight or Logistics company.
* Candidates will also need a minimum of 10 years experience as a lead architect working with business and technology leaders to introduce new technologies i.e. Web Services: Enterprise Service Bus/Web 2.0/Business Process Execution/ Choreography and 5 years employment in a consulting firm with consulting duties
* Other technical and consulting skills include: travel and transportation sector knowledge/experience, business development, client relationship management, consulting sales skills, mentoring and coaching, complex project delivery, strong verbal and written communications, presentation skills object oriented design paradigms, application integration architectures, development methodologies J2EE architectures and J2EE design patterns.
