Principal Architect– Data Warehousing/ Business Intelligence - 3 positions open

 

80% travel   Visa transfers available

 

Position Description:

 

This position is for an experienced architect to create complex DW/BI architecture & data models in large & complex Business intelligence / data warehousing programs.  We would also envision this person contributing effectively in pre-sales and subsequently managing/ playing a pivotal role as a Principal architect in one or more BI engagements. We expect that S/He would be able to conceptualize, architect, & deploy the BI solutions for mostly large & complex programs. S/He would also be responsible for drawing up a roadmap for customer organization towards BI architecture.

 

The successful candidate must have the following key attributes:

 

1.      Strong DW/BI architectural expertise (meta-data creation & management, data modeling, data mining, Dimensional Modeling & other DW technical components) with a minimum 10-15 years of experience in the said areas.

2.      Strong, Hands on data warehousing experience either on generic best of breed products (Teradata, Oracle DW, Informatica, Cognos, Ab Initio, Business Objects etc.) or on the package based BI products (e.g. SAP BW, Oracle BI, Siebel Analytics, Peoplesoft EPM etc.)

3.      Multiple full cycle BI implementation experience in a technical architect role and should have played the role as a Principal architect.

4.      Academic qualification aligned with the area of expertise

5.      Recognition in the industry as an expert or thought leader in some of the key aspects of the BI Technology

6.      Strong technology inclination & contribution in models/conceptualization/architectures for complex programs

 

 

Additional attributes that would serve as significant differentiating factors include

 

1.      Preferably, BI Experience in BFSI, LS or Manlog industry

2.      Demonstrated ability to sell to IT and Senior business executives in a given  industry / Program

3.      Contacts in the industry that can be leveraged to generate sales leads

4.      Previous experience with having worked with offshore firms (Preferable) 

5.      Ability and enthusiasm to travel globally and locally to meet the business needs
