The individual will be responsible for the QA team and manage the quality assurance process for software development projects.
Job Description:
- Manage a Software QA team.
- Strong SDLC and QA Process know-how (implement and promote best practices, enforce QA Policies, QA tool selection etc.)
- Hands-on Quality Management (testing, documentation inspection, verification and validation, test-ware and defect Management, risk management)
- Work with the team to utilize available tools for automated testing of software projects.
- Work closely with business sponsors to understand business drivers and collaborate with technical team-members to develop solutions strategy.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 6 years experience in a technical (QA) position. 2-3 years of current/previous QA management experience (as job title).
- Experience in using Mercury Quality Center & Quick Test Professional.
- A capacity to learn new software/procedures quickly.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- General troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities at one time.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to learn quickly in order to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a team environment with a strong desire to see the team succeed.
- Strong understanding of full development life cycle

The Analyst will design, document and implement test cases, test plans, report and manage defects, regress software fixes, assist development with replicating and debugging problems, and develop test automation solutions as needed.
Experience in Equities Trading Front-Ends and Order Management Systems
For BearTrade: Experience with Redi+, Lava ColorBook/ColorPalette, RealTick, Instinet Portal or like trading systems is a Plus
For BNS: Experience on FIDESSA (Royal Blue Application), Brass, Lava OMS, Nyfix-Renaissance or like in-house order management systems is a Plus
Responsibilities:
Develop manual and automation (QTP/LoadRunner) test scripts based on functional specification and technical design
Execute test scripts in .NET and Web-based client server environment
Consistently report progress and defect status
Follow SLDC for Project, Enhancements and Support releases
Hands on (scripting) experience with Quick Test Pro, LoadRunner and quality Center
Must be able to create and execute complex SQL queries
Knowledge of Object Oriented Architecture
Able to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
White Box, Black Box, Systems, Regressions, Integration and Performance testing experience
Coordinate and control user acceptance testing efforts
Provide status reports to Test Lead, Test Manager, and Project Manager
Work with Project Manager and Test Lead to develop test approach
Coordinate management and resolution of defects found during testing
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Time Management and effort prioritization
Proactive in accomplishing tasks
Ability to work on multiple project at the same time in a fast paces environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years experience in a QA Analyst role working with enterprise systems
Working business knowledge of equities
