Sr Lead Developer Equity Derivatives 180 -190k NYC

 This incumbent will mainly be responsible for providing development resource for the technology platforms used by the Wachovia equity derivative business, specifically, Imagine. This position will require interaction with the IT group, trading desks, order management, and risk management groups. This position will also be tasked with driving object-oriented analysis/design/development and ensuring the timely delivery of quality solutions and support. This position is located in New York City.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·          Analysis and design of technology solutions to meet business requirements (25%)

·          Development of technology solutions to meet business requirements (65%)

·          Second level support of technology platforms used by Capital Markets (10%)

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·          Bachelor’s Science in Computer Science or related field;

·          At least Five + years of software development experience predominantly using Java/J2EE;

·          At least Five + years of developing server-side Java with in-depth knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, etc.);

·          At least Five + years technical experience in a corporate environment;

·          Strong experience in developing trading applications and market data feeds;

·          Excellent customer management skills;

·          Preference for investment banking experience with specific knowledge of trading technology;

·          Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

·          Ability to operate effectively in a matrix managed international organization with multiple reporting lines;

·          Personable and reliable self-starter who requires minimal management oversight for day to day work responsibilities;

·          Proficiency with computers including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;

·          Strong attention to detail with a pro-active approach to solving and preventing problems;

·          Ability to work under pressure/deadlines and manage multiple priorities;

·          Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management.K
