Typical Minimums: Bachelors degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 years or more of professional experience; or 18 years with a related Masters, or 15 years with a related PhD degree. Viewed as the most senior authority in discipline.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Specific Job Description: This position is for the Intel Line of Business (LOB) Information Assurance (IA) Architect reporting to LOB Program Office and is a member of the senior leadership staff. As the Lead IA Architect, the successful candidate will direct technical planning, system Architecture and Design activities, verification and validation, cost and risk management, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for the Architecture element. He/ she directs processing of customer requirements into Architectural solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints, and directs the functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, and is responsible for the development and base lining of the security architecture for the Intel LOB programs. This position requires extensive experience in DoD, IC, Federal, and Commercial Information assurance standards to include DCID 6/3, FIPS, DIICAP, and 8500 series; knowledge of current NCID, GIAP, GIG IA initiatives; knowledge of SOA concepts and their application to the emerging NCES architecture; ability to work with customer and other stakeholders to develop operational and system requirements; ability to lead teams of people in the conduct of the job from a cost, technical and schedule objective. In addition, the selected applicant prefers to have CISSP certification; program management or senior technical experience in an IA related field; knowledge of LM IS&S programs of record with IA relevant content; knowledge of IS&S capture management and IRAD planning processes. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
