System installation, Build and Integration engineer

Purpose:
A leading financial software company located in  Westport, CT, is looking for a System Installation, Build and Integration Engineer to join their team.

Job Description:
Installation, configuration and integration of client's solutions into diverse customer environments. Knowledge transfer and training are part of each customer engagement. Each site install requires preparation and proper post-installation documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills. This person will work independently when at client sites as all as at Connecticut office. Up to 50% travel may be required

As System Installation Engineer Specialist you will be responsible for the following:

·         Perform software installations and training.

·         Identify, research, and resolve software, hardware, and system configuration problems

·         Acquire and maintain current knowledge of products and support policies in order to provide accurate solutions customers

·         Travel (percentage varies based on workload)

Skills essential for this assignment:

·         Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science or equivalency.

·         Strong computer software troubleshooting/analytical skills      

·         Exceptional interpersonal and problem solving skills

·         Knowledge of basic System Administration functions

·         Documentation skills

·         Hardware, software and network troubleshooting skills

Experience Required:

·         2+ years experience with Windows Server and UNIX/Linux operating systems

·         2+ years relational database and SQL experience

·         Development/Admin experience on Unix/Solaris/Linux platform a must.

Compensation:
Based on experience; between 80 and 140K
