Responsibilities       

      • Respond to varied user inquiries regarding the accuracy, timeliness and overall quality of securities reference data across the full realm of financial products.
      • Resolve user application issues surrounding financial data discrepancies and inconsistencies as related to vendor, exchange or internal market data feeds and established business logic.
      • Must be conversant in financial products, related data attributes and recognized reference identifiers or Symbology in support of fixed income, equities, and derivative products.
      • Function as a Business Analyst providing data analysis, design specifications and quality assurance toward maintaining and enhancing reference data management solutions and the firm’s Enterprise Security Master across all asset classes and global markets. 
      • Provide business analysis to enhance service, i.e. improve capabilities and data presentations toward meeting dynamic market changes, evolving business requirements and new initiative projects. 
      • Maintenance and support Exceptions Management tools and reports designed to ensure ongoing data integrity.  Design monitoring tools, reports and sanity checks as part of our quality assurance measures toward improved data accuracy and timeliness.
      • Provide analysis, change specifications, integration testing and user notification regarding the implementation of vendor service changes, product releases and alerts.
      • Mediate between the user community and the development team, communicating with each group using their preferred vocabularies.
      • Hands-on: Define process flows, assemble data dictionaries, design and refine the warehouse data model so to provide greater control and efficiency around day-to-day data management workflow and support.
      • Function as a project lead, working closely with the project manager and technical architect in defining overall solutions.
      • Work across multiple project streams simultaneously
      • Define and own project specifications and requirements documents, and transfer business knowledge to the development team.
      • Manage ad hoc user inquiries/issues.
      • Identify opportunities for adding value and drive continuous improvement.
      • Assist project manager in evaluating tradeoffs between quality, features and delivery schedules.
      • Coordinate user acceptance testing across various functional areas. 

Requirements

      • 2-6 plus years of relevant experience with financial data,
      • Knowledge of the global financial markets, market data source providers, securities information and database management.
      • Excellent data modeling/design skills
      • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
      • Complete project lifecycle experience
      • Flexibility with the ability to handle multiple tasks
      • Ability to write SQL queries and analyze large volumes of data is a plus
