The appropriate candidate will be a strong developer and very comfortable with Visual Studio (C#, .NET) They will have a strong understanding of web services and they will fell comfortable with databases.  This person is responsible for discussing functionality with clients.  They will guide them in a direction that will work best for them. They will extimate the time and cost of the customization and then they will develop and deliver that solution.  Candidates will travel to clients about 25% of their time and work in house (in Melville, NY) the rest of the time.

Job Description:	Qualifications: Minimum five years of experience as a software engineer and highly skilled in software design, development, test and support BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Knowledge of the Microsoft Visual Studio development tools Knowledge of SQL, C++, VB, .NET Framework SDK Knowledge of Business Objects Reporting Experience in developing technical documentation Superior communication skills as well as analytical skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of developers Must be customer focused and have the ability to manage and resolve solutions to complex technical issues Strong organizational skills Must be willing to travel Responsibilities: Provide a variety of services to the Sales group and customer base, including pre-sales support and technical direction Assist Solutions Engineers and Account Executives by answering inquiries related to API functionality, reporting capabilities and custom development requests Serve as the primary support channel  Professional Services clients Deliver Professional Services solutions and provide root-cause analysis of problems communicated by customers Maintain the code base of previously developed Professional Services deliveries
