Junior IT Auditor NYC $75000
Essential Job Function
Will be expected to provide Audit Service Assurance, Risk Management and internal audit services management of Information Technologies (IT) and services. The position will provide independent, professional assurance on the consistency of operational performance with strategic direction, risk management, efficiency, and effectiveness in compliance with IT regulations and policies. This should be achieved by creating and effectively maintaining a program of strategically focused audits, conducting ad-hoc reviews requested by management, provide ongoing advice, and assurance to managers of systems under development as well as coordinating and facilitating risk management within various IT functional areas. Develop methodologies for integration all overlapping IT services and activities. Assist with the overview and enhancement of existing IT processes. Assist with the creation of new processes where needed. Assist in assuring quality for IT systems management and services provision. Manage the delivery of an audit program by, document IT process, preparing strategic and detailed audit plans, provide assistance, support and direction to audit staff in the implementation of audit plans. Assist with the preparation and presentation of reports to the Quality Assurance Team. Ensure optimal efficiency and relevance of internal audit systems in meeting Information Technology’s business requirements. Provide expert advice to management and represent IT at relevant professional forums and liaise with suppliers, contractors and vendors for the provision of professional and technical support services. Work closely with all team managers to coordinate the introduction of new standards and review products into the review program. Oversee the development, monitoring and review of policies and procedures to ensure Service Management. Ensure that services are conducted appropriately and are consistent with the changing needs of the organization. Support management to monitor the operational implications of new business and contracts. Take a lead role in the development, implementation and monitoring of quality improvement within all IT functional areas. Make significant contribution to strategic and business planning and monitoring processes in conjunction with IT management and staff. Assist in the development and maintenance of a safe work environment. Sarbanes-Oxley exp is a plus.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Experience in IT. Excellent communication, written and prioritization skills. Highly developed research, analytical and conceptual skills. Project management skills. The ability to take personal responsibility. Will be working in a typical office environment using standard office equipment, including a personal computer.
