A leading worldwide provider of water, gas, and electric meters; clamp and coupling products; and Automated Meter Reading (AMR) systems, has an immediate opening for a Manager of Technical Sales for the Canadian region. Ideally this candidate will reside in the greater Toronto Ontario area.

This position will assist the Canadian Regional Sales Manager and the Canadian distribution network in the promotion, sales, application and problem solving associated with the technical aspects of Water Meters, Automatic Meter Reading/Automated Metering Infrastructure and water products throughout the Canadian Sales Region. Typical responsibilities and necessary skill sets will include:

Ability to communicate fluently in both English and French languages (verbally and in writing)
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Canada.
Interest in attending and participating in industry-related trade shows and conferences.
Ability to understand and effectively promote the technical aspects of meter reading systems.
Ability to analyze needs, suggest solutions and train Metering Systems field sales and others associated with the selling and service of various products.
Skill in the use of computers, software, data communications, computer networking, data collection systems and general communications with and through RF networks.
Ability to communicate information about all products (verbally and in writing) and all aspects of the region's strategies, programs, and results.
Ability to plan and effectively implement the region's assignments.
Good judgment and demonstrated leadership qualities that professionally reflect the philosophies of the Canadian Sales Region.
Ability to exhibit and train others in exceptional sales characteristics.
This position requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering or the equivalent and ideally will have 3-5 years of experience in municipal, contractor or distributor markets.
Additional sales or technical experience in the metering or municipal infrastructure industry is an asset. Recent graduates of a recognized engineering program will be considered.

Candidate Must Have :
* Fluency in both French and English languages
* Ability to travel extensively (50%+) throughout Canada
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
* Ability to train others
* Additional sales or technical experience in the metering or municipal infrastructure industry is an asset.
