Job Description:	Adams Respiratory Therapeutics Job Description Job Title: Tax Accountant/Senior Tax Accountant Department: Finance Reports to: Manager of External Reporting and Compliance Job Type: Full Time Status: Exempt Location: Chester, NJ Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Serve as the main, day-to-day tax support for the Company Work closely with our external tax preparation firm to ensure proper filing of tax returns; assist in the preparation of supporting schedules for the quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and the federal and state tax return calculations Assist in the coordination of governmental tax audits and resolving any audit related questions Maintain a calendar of tax filings to ensure timely filings and payments Manage sales and use tax and other notices received from taxing authorities and ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner Prepare quarterly reconciliations of tax accounts Coordinate and resolve any tax related issues between the Company's payroll provider and stock option administrator and assist with payroll tax filings Assist our external tax consultants with the preparation of FIN 48 related analyses Perform ad-hoc tax related research projects, as requested, and make recommendations to limit tax exposure Experience requirements: B.S./B.A. in Accounting or equivalent required 3-4 years of accounting experience, specializing in the area of taxation CPA is a plus Strong written/verbal communication skills and tax research skills Excellent organizational and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
