Job Description:	a  global leader and innovator in electronic and voice execution in the credit derivatives markets  From offices in New York, Singapore and London, the firm provides the full breadth of transactions services in CDS indices, index tranches, single name CDS as well as structured products.  We offer a great company culture as well as excellent compensation and benefits programs.  At this time, we are looking for a Senior Accountant.   Responsibilities   .     Prepare month end journal entries.   .     Assist in the monthly close process and preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.   .     Prepare broker bonus calculations.   .     Analyze intercompany transactions.   .     Assist in the monthly billing process. .     Work closely with the outside auditors during the annual financial audit.   .     Assist in the preparation, review and consolidation of the annual budgets. .     Participate in various other department projects and tasks as requested. Requirements: . Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience with a CPA firm looking to move into private or already in private accounting . Financial services accounting experience preferred. ·          Solid general ledger usage including knowledge of: o         Accounting Cycles o         Journals & Posting o         Trial Balance o         Income Statement Format o         Notes Entries o         Account Reconciliations o         Consolidations o         Interpretation & application of GAAP rules including: o         FASB, SFAS, SOPs, APBs, FIN, etc. . Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills. . Strong computer skills with good working knowledge of MS Office applications. . At least 2 years of Great Plains experience is required and a working knowledge of FRx is desirable. . Self-motivated, creative, decisive and ability to interact with all levels of management.
