SR. DATABASE ARCHITECT/DBA

They are looking for a Superstar! Candidate has to be super-Smart, does not have to be a corporate type

out-of-the-box type, but has to be highly intelligent

 

$120-145K Base, Bonus to 20%, Generous Stock Options

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

·        This is a development/programming position

·        Database programming and engineering

·        Oracle Database Administration and backup

·        Database Backup and Recovery

·        Database performance tuning and design

·        OS Administration(Linux and Windows)

·        Scripting with shell, Perl or Python

·        PL/SQL development

·        Develop and maintain development and QA environments for Enterprise system

·        Provide first line support for Enterprise applications.

 

Minimum requirements:

 

·        Experience with multiple database platforms

·        Extensive Oracle Database Administration experience essential in a High Volume, Very Large Scale Database (terabyte), Mission Critical Database (must have experience supporting SLA’s)

·        Experience with data warehouses and data marts a plus

·        Experience with data ETL processes very important

·        Database Backup and Recovery experience required

·        Database performance tuning experience required

·        Scripting with shell, Perl or Python essential

·        Experience in database clustering

·        OS Administration skills (Solaris, Linux and Windows preferred)

·        Some Data Modeling experience; database normalization

·        Experience tuning SQL queries and mentoring programmers in tuning SQL queries

·        Knowledge of Webservers (Apache, IIS) and Application Servers (WebSphere, JBoss, Oracle) is a plus

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Ability to work on multiple tasks in a team environment.

·        BS in Computer Science or related field of study and/or equivalent practical experience.
