Provides technical support for the sales team. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of ECM offerings, company strategies and competitive and industry knowledge. Typical activities include: articulation of the benefits of solutions, delivery of product/solution presentations and demonstrations, coordination/delivery of PoCs, answering customers' questions, countering customers concerns, building solution designs based on customers' requirements, preparation of technical responses to proposals, and differentiation of offerings from the competition. In addition, the position requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and technical thought leadership. This position requires the candidate to live in St Louis, Missouri area.
Major Field of Study: Computer Science, business; Comprehensive knowledge of ECM solutions; MS windows, Linux, and/or Unix skills; Flexibility to work and travel in a technical sales role; Strong written and verbal communications skills; Knowledge/skills in related products (app servers, DB); Knowledge and skills in IBM ECM offerings; Knowledge of competitive ECM offerings.
Experience in a Technical Sales position delivering presentations and demos to customers, participating in solution design discussions, answering customers� technical questions, responding to RFIs/RFPs, leading PoCs, and occasional post-sales assistance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on IBM (or competitive) ECM product design and implementation skills.
