Jobcode: SBAJA22This position will replace the existing Senior Corporate Accountant spot. The candidate must have a solid understanding of accounting and insurance related knowledge. This position plays a major roll in preparing the quarterly and annual statutory financial statements.
This position supports several key annual and quarterly routines such as the statutory close, annual audit, account reconciliations, and various annual statement schedules.
Job Responsibilities:
ľ Responsible for quarterly statutory close
ľ Assist with annual audit requests
ľ Assist with annual statutory financial statements
ľ Reconcile monthly/quarterly balance sheet accounts
ľ Prepare quarterly statutory journal entries
ľ Assist with various annual statement schedules
ľ Work closely with external auditors on an annual basis
ľ Handle special projects as assigned
Skills & Knowledge:
ľ 4 to 8 years of accounting experience
ľ Experience in the P&C insurance industry
ľ Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
ľ Excellent analytical skills.
ľ Working knowledge of a major general ledger system, (PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.).
ľ Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
ľ Solid communications skills (oral & written).
ľ Ability to work independently
