Key is some vendor management in large scale global enterprise environments. When forwarding a ersume, please include the dollars involved in vm.

Global datacenters need to be upgraded and consolidated. The entire Cisco infrastructure needs to be replaced. There is no corporate VPN, which means people can’t work from home. Also, decisions must be made about human capital allocation globally.

Estimated vendor sourcing: Infrastructure: 30%, Development: 70%.

Company has no single defined process for aligning IT to a single decision tree. Up until now, everyone has pretty much operated independently. Goal is to centralize the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have probably begun his career as a developer, and progressed onto one of two tracks: he either stayed a technologist, close to operations and implementation; or, he went on to managing the people who manage technology – strategy and relationships.

They want someone from a high octane large organization where a lot of money is on the line. The person need not currently be vendor management focused; you just need to have been involved with it as part of your work.
