dynamic individual for a Senior Software Engineer position within our Development department. The qualified candidate will be responsible for designing and developing software components and applications, development of highly available and tightly integrated trading system software components and development of core infrastructure libraries utilized by development group members.

Responsibilities to include:
Design the high-level application architecture for applications and systems
Create complex mission-critical applications to provide trading system support as required according to business specifications
Provide technical direction and oversight for other junior level programmers
Design, develop, and document infrastructure components to provide development team with high-availability, data acquisition, distributed lock management, and distributed alert management
Required Experience
Experience Required:

5 - 7 years development experience within financial community
Windows development specialist
Backend development

Must Have:
Hands on C# or Java development experience
Ability to work with minimum guidance
Ability to fit into and add value to a small bright group of developers
Extensive hands on use of multithreading techniques
Intense focus on software performance, craftsmanship and taking pride in the work performed
Intermediate database experience
Understanding of FIX protocol
Basic XML understanding

A Plus:
Web services/SOAP/XSL
Tibco/JMS
Direct experience with SQL Server 2000
