Senior Business Systems Analyst  in Jersey City. Pays up to 80k with 10% bonus. Must provide written samples

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The employee's primary responsibility will be to analyze and document complex solution requirements and provide consultation on the implementation of those solutions.

This includes:

• Analyze business needs and create and document new functionality to meet them.
• Work on system projects that have a highly complex functionality.
• Work on projects with a broad scope, involving multiple systems.

 

Related responsibilities include the following:

• Design and specify information systems solutions to address business needs.
• Work closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes.
• Formulate logical statements of business requirements, research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution for system design.
• Analyze existing systems logic difficulties and revise as appropriate.
• Work closely with development and quality assurance groups to facilitate the successful progress of the projects.
• May act as project leader and direct the work of other analysts
• Perform related duties as necessary.

 

SKILLSIEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, and 5 years progressive experience analyzing and solving business problems through the development and implementation of business applications
• Strong knowledge of Excel & MS-Word
• Project Management skills a plus
• Knowledge of and experience in insurance and/or financial services industry, particularly as it relates to credit application systems
• Knowledge of and experience in full life-cycle methodologies
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of business analysis techniques inclusive of use case scenarios
