One of my clients is a global professional services firm that, by year end should be at about 55000 employees worldwide. They would like to hire and infrastructure architect for a full time position in Holliston, Mass at a salary of between $120000 and $130000 + bonus.

This is a synopsis of what you will be doing and what they are looking for:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Program-wide infrastructure architecture and strategies, infrastructure standardization and
normalization, infrastructure management and analysis, mission and business application infrastructure and standardization, and infrastructure engineering methodologies and tools.

Provides infrastructure system strategies to meet evolving mission and business needs.

Maintains alignment between infrastructure systems and business strategy and processes.

Develops technical plans such as Infrastructure Life Cycle Management to augment IT Strategic, Tactical, and Long Range planning cycles.

Develops strategic, long range and architectural roadmaps regarding infrastructure systems.

Develops infrastructure management and security strategies to maintain information accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems.

Develops and/or approves point solutions for immediate and emergency problems.

Reviews and approves selection of infrastructure systems that meet mission and business goals.

Reviews and approves infrastructure systems designs and architectures for new systems and applications.

They really want someone with consulting experience, rather than someone from industry.
