DIRECTOR OF INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES - 150K BASE PLUS BONUS - NYC

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Infrastructure Services will be responsible for maintenance, management and expansion of our mission critical, 24x7 hosted solutions in offsite data centers. Given the start-up nature of our business, the successful candidate must be willing and capable of wearing multiple hats and handling everything from infrastructure architecture and security to equipment procurement and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

* Manage all Hosting Operations co-located data centers, with responsibility for contracted and internally agreed SLAs for customers
* Establish and execute processes for availability, capacity, and usage reporting
* Proactively plan, manage and grow the hosting infrastructure to support capacity and performance requirements of customers
* Work closely with the projects teams to prepare for launch and smooth operations of customer solutions hosted and managed  

 * Manage the disaster recovery planning and manage and monitor security policies
* Provision hardware, bandwidth, and services for the operations of the  data centers
* Produce regular management reports on the status of operations for the  executive team
* Manage the customer support ticketing systems and communicate to customers about scheduled maintenance activities
* Manage the relationships with contractors and suppliers for hosting services and hardware
* Perform network infrastructure maintenance and support
* Perform server maintenance and support (hardware and software)

Skills and Qualifications

* BSCS, BSEE is required
* Must have 5+ years of similar experience working for a software company that delivers its solutions on hosted ASP basis
* Experience in data center management
* In depth knowledge of data communications and Internet protocols
* Experience with configuring and using all common network components like load balancers, firewalls, switches and routers.
* Experience with most common server hardware platforms.
* Formal process design and implementation experience
* Quality training (Six Sigma, TQM, ISO or other) preferred 


 The key to the role is finding someone who is willing to role up their sleeves and get tehir hands dirty. It is  aplace where you will be paid like to you work in a large shop but have the fun and challenges of a smaller one.
