About The Position-LOCATION: WALL STREET
The Senior Software Engineer will play a lead role in the advancement of THE COMPANY'S PREMIER PRODUCT as well as the development of new products. The candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of new functionality and financial products. Candidate will be working with fixed income, credit, FX, Energy, Metals, and Agricultural derivatives.
Required Experience
A good candidate would possess the following:
* 3+ years developing on Microsoft Window platform
* 5+ years developing trading and/or risk management applications in the financial industry
* 1+ years experience developing on .Net
* Very strong development skills in C++, C# and VB
* Must be capable of technical design and implementation using sound architectural principles
* Accounting/FAS133 knowledge is a plus.
* Working knowledge of MS SQL Server is preferred
Here is the basic job spec for the Senior Software Engineer and some of the notes taken from feedback with the hiring manager. In addition we need a Software Engineer (re-architecture) which is basically a Software Architect but I do not have a position description at this time.
Senior Software Developers and Software Architects with VB, C++ and/or C# on the Windows platform who MUST have Financial Products experience such as Financial reporting applications and design of Trade transactions, Accounting General Ledger Systems, FAS133, Hedge Fund, GL, Risk Management
That’s what the immediate need is in Product Engineering, so more on the Development or Architecture side less of the Quant/Model types.
Open positions 11 – 12 positions Senior Software Engineer and Architects
Key skills:
Development on a Financial application or Accounting System
Financial Engineering
Risk Trading applications
Microsoft shop experience
Currently using VB but moving to C#. NET
He is okay with someone who as either VB or Java as long as they are out of financial and have an interest in C#
C++ is okay as well
Additional info: Not too heavy on the Quant side more accounting exp GL Systems VB or .Net Application development, Mapping also trading and risk management systems application development library report writing processing of trades.
Sr. Developer - 5-10 years of experience – 130 - 160K plus up to a 15% bonus

Phone screen if only if necessary
1st round – two from his team if all goes well then he will be on 1st round or bring back for 2nd round
