This senior position will have responsibility for the ongoing design and development of a core product that has both OLTP and OLAP elements.
This is a very hands on technical lead position, and also involves managing two other developers on the team.
Required skills and background:
- 8+ years experience as professional developer
- 3+ years experience as lead developer
- 5+ years experience as Java developer
- 2+ years experience with J2EE technologies and design patterns
- Working knowledge of OLAP and ETL
- Interest in and ability to understand business that software supports
- Ability to work closely with Product Management to help flesh out functional specs
- Ability to create technical specs from functional specs
- Ability to create and execute project plans
- Strong focus on unit testing and other best practices for code quality
- Ability to coach/mentor more junior staff to produce high quality code
- Working knowledge of common Web application frameworks and patterns
- Knowledge of and experience with transactional applications
- Working knowledge and deep experience with application level performance optimization
- Experience with online advertising applications a plus
- Ideally, candidate would have experience working for a hosted application software provider in B2B environment
