Diverse position requiring strong project management and communication skills to lead critical technology/product line transfers across and between global manufacturing operations or suppliers to reduce costs, improve product performance and enhance market position; to lead commodity management of commercial metals; to provide leadership and direction in execution of corporate supplier quality and development programs to drive overall supply base improvement and performance.

Technology transfer responsibilities include:
1) Improving and then documenting existing technology/product line transfer process into standard work;
2) lead and execute product line transfers of global systems and/or components;
3) facilitate technology transfers for regional systems and components.

Metals commodity management responsibilities include:
1) Representative on corporate commercial metals commodity team;
2) distribute commodity metals data to global personnel; 3) work with global manufacturing operations and engineering to identify and implement savings opportunities via value engineering, grade substitution and supplier leverage.

Supplier development responsibilities include:
1) Gather, sort and baseline supplier performance data from global manufacturing operations;
2) establish supplier performance improvement targets by manufacturing location;
3) work with manufacturing locations to prioritize supply base improvement plans;
4) lead global implementation of supplier scorecard system;
5) develop training and deploy supplier improvement tools to supplier development function at manufacturing sites; 6) monitor, consolidate, analyze and report supplier improvement results

Candidate Must Have :
* BS Degree in Engineering or Business or related field; MBA preferred
* At least 8 years progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management or supplier quality
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication and project management skills with the ability to collaborate with global operations and cross-functional departments
* Experience in lean manufacturing, metals, commodity management, et al
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
