Position Description:   New York City    Sr. Business Analyst to work within the AI Reporting, Valuation and Planning team.   Key Responsibilities:   -         Gather/Define the business requirements from clients -         Write business process documents, system analysis documents, functional documents, technical documents, test cases and project plans -         Responsible for interfacing with the development team in the explanation of requirements and will be expected to perform the QA role during the application testing -         Interface with clients to define and track requirements -         Provide production support to clients and track issues to resolution -         Develop ad-hoc reports for clients to meet their tactical needs -         Participating in application and database design -         Draft report prototypes using tools such as Crystal Reports, MS Word or Excel for clients and development team -         Handle SQL programming skills in building application functionality on occasion -         Performing the QA role to test new application releases from development team -         Participate in entire SDLC process -         Channel business-critical issues to vendor’s support team for quick resolution -         Participate and assist in data model design process -         Maintain constant communication with other team members, technical manager and the team in Offshore

Qualifications

Experience and Skills Required/Desired:   Required Work Experience:   -         At least 5+ years of experience as BA responsible for enterprise system working in/for Investment Banking domain -         Manage financial systems and provide liaison function with business units and technology teams -         Experience with custom application development projects involving MS-SQL and Microsoft .NET platforms -         Requirements gathering techniques (Interviewing or JAD Facilitation) -         Experience in producing project plans and exposed to SDLC Required Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge: -         Good oral & written skills -         Ability to use SQL for QA and proof-of-concept Desirable Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge: -         Experience with Business Information Tools and delivery such as Reporting Services, Performance Point, Excel -         Concentrated industry expertise in financial services (Private Equity) or accounting -         Financial reporting Required  Education and Professional Qualifications: -         BS in Analytical Subject (Computer Science) Desirable Education and Professional Qualifications: -         MS in Computer Science/MIS or MBA in IT & Finance
