About The Position

The Business Analyst at The client is responsible for the successful gathering and organization of business requirements for both client and market driven projects related to Financial Product Reporting and Accounting with a focus on derivatives. The Business Analyst works with product management, customer service, development and quality assurance teams at The client, and directly with clients, to gather detailed business requirements, translate requirements into functional specifications and use scenarios and ensure that the requirements are met with a product deliverable. 

 

Required Experience

A good candidate would possess the following:

• Minimum 2+ years of business analysis experience in financial reporting, risk management or accounting systems. 
• Knowledge of financial accounting standards (FASB, IAS) and hedge accounting (FAS 133, IAS 39) is a plus but not required.
• Good understanding of structured developmental methodology
• Expertise in collecting and understanding business requirements, and translating these into requirements documents, use cases and functional specifications.  
• Ability to communicate business requirements and functional specifications to the development (programmers) team and review development at various stages to ensure that the deliverable performs as expected.
• Experience with the design of test plans and test cases
• Expertise in MS Exel, Visio and MS Office Suite.

• Possess a good understanding of client server and web-based technology solutions and architecture.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized and disciplined
