looking for candidates who have been team leads or managed teams, with 5-10 year who has solid business analysis experience and some pm experience
This role requires financial services experience, but it's important to note that once their Financial Services group is streamlined (it's a small part of their business) this role will transition to Insurance or Reinsurance, probably about 18 months out.
Ideal profile is fairly technical and has worked with developers in the past (these roles liaise between the business users and the application developers), knows SQL. Should be a quick learner / high potential profile
An experienced Project manager/Business analyst is required for the Financial Solutions business unit of this major insurance and investment group. . This position would be good fit for a candidate with strong software development background who has recently been working as project manager and/or business analyst in the financial services industry.
*Job Description:*
Ø Manage the Project Life Cycle of I.T initiatives related to Financial Solutions business units by providing effective business analysis and project management support for the I.T initiatives.
Ø Job responsibilities range from project initiation,
requirement gathering through analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.
Ø Position reports to I.T Manager, following the overall
guidance and priorities established by Senior I.T. and Financial Solutions business management.
Ø Job will require hands-on involvement in carrying out
analysis and delivering specifications to the development team. Involved to a lesser degree in the development aspect of projects.
Ø Analyze existing business processes with a view to identify those that would benefit from applying technology. Propose projects substantiated with a description of I.T. solution, associated business benefits to be achieved, cost analysis, resource plan and implementation plan.
Ø Responsible for the integrity, security and disaster
recovery of all Financial Solutions data and systems.
Ø Support the internal and external audit, and compliance
processes, including Sarbanes, in adherence to existing corporate standards.
Ø Travel will not exceed 10%
*Qualifications:*
Resourceful, hands-on, solutions oriented I.T. professional
to support a growing business of dynamic and highly analytical business professionals. Financial Services related experience is preferred.
Must have strong technical background, communication and
project management skills with a commitment to quality and results.
Experience with Report Writers, SQL and MS Office (Excel,
Access, Word, and Project) a must. Experience with .Net and C# a plus.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University.
Must have strong business knowledge with ability to work
very closely with senior business managers.
Minimum of three (3) years providing application support
for business applications across all business processes working closely with the senior management of the organization.
Minimum of three (3) years experience as a project manager with formal project management skills (from scope definition through requirements gathering, analysis, design, development and implementation). Certification is a plus but not required.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years in application development, report
generation and a proven experience in implementing technology solutions.
Need for strong team player with ability to balance the
strategic and tactical business needs and manage user expectations.
