The Manager of Network Operations is responsible for understanding information technology needs and managing the day-to-day operations of the Network Operations department to support corporate IT needs and production applications and related infrastructure. S/he is responsible for directing and managing the Network Operations staff to ensure that networks, applications and data are available, performing to expected standards, secure and protected. S/he manages Network Operations department staff, operations, projects, financial/budget matters, assets, procurement, and vendor relationships to provide first-class information technology support with consistency in delivery and cost with minimal variability.

Skills and Work Experience Requirements
· 10+ years experience administering networks in a large-scale, multi-platform information technology environment in a highly available production environment.
· 6+years experience managing multiple information technology staff members
· Ability to analyze the network and recommend upgrades or changes
· Ability to assess and forecast the organization's current and future network needs
· Knowledgeable about a robust variety of the networking operations concepts, practices, and procedures
· Superb judgment and decision-making skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work closely and effectively with Network Operations team and internal business teams
· Strong project management and business analysis skills
· Ability to listen effectively and present oneself in a calm, professional manner under pressure
· Fosters a team oriented and supportive environment


Technology Skills Requirements:
· TCP/IP and common routing topologies
· Cisco routers and switches
· Juniper Netscreen Firewalls
· Windows NT/2000/2003 services in AD and NT domains
· Exchange 2003/2007 Server
· MS SQL 2005 Server (Clustering & Mirroring)
· IIS 5.0 and 6.0 and Dot Net
· VMWare ESX Servers
· EMC Clarion SANS & related EMC software
· Internet and Intranet standard protocols and applications (FTP, HTTP, PPTP, IPSec)
· IPT technologies
· VPN technologies
· Hardware Load Balancing
· DNS
· Industry acceptable security standards & protocols

Education Requirements
· Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or related discipline
· CCNA, MCP or MCSE certification preferred
