Candidate will be responsible for supporting all technical aspects of the website. This would include, but not be limited to: working with the Web Team to implement new layouts and designs, modify templates and image content, work with Epicor|CRS to achieve desired results, work with hosting vendor to improve site performance and resolve issues in a timely manner. They will also be an important partner in the implementation process for a new web platform while working with the selected vendor to develop, and test and deploy this new platform and related technologies.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Experience with XHTML, ASP. Net, CSS, Javascript, DHTML, and AJAX, SQL
Experience creating and managing e-commerce sites
Studio 8 (Dream weaver, Flash: Action Script - minimum of 1 year experience).
Experience analyzing external or internal websites, knowledge of streaming video, Flash, and other product demonstration methodologies. Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, strong scripting and database skills, knowledge of website design best practices, knowledge of web analytics, IIS and a solid understanding of information technology & security, including firewalls, penetration testing and other security devices.
A successful candidate will be: organized, professional, motivated and a team player. Strong written, and oral communication and documentation skills, good planning,
organizing, analytical and interpersonal skills. Must be a highly motivated self starter with strong customer service, troubleshooting and problem solving skills with an ability to partner and work in a collaborative team environment. Must be able to identify project tasks, accurately estimate task completion dates and deliver on multiple projects with tight
deadlines.
Additional: XML, Cold Fusion - a plus, PHP 4 & 5 - not required but helpful
Reports to: Manager of Web Technologies
Key Connections: IT department, E-commerce/web team, Internal Communications, external vendors who support our internet and intranet solutions.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide support for website to ensure that all launch dates are met.
2. Implement clear, effective web pages for download efficiency, clean design and search engine optimization.
3. Creating and optimizing web pages for download efficiency, clean design, and search engine optimization.
4. Must be able to take current practices and procedures and improve upon them with innovative ideas. Must be able to understand and integrate solutions in a multi-systems environment, providing a seamless look to the customer
5. Collaborate with the Manager of Web Technologies and other key company members for the development and deployment of a company intranet. Partner with internal teams and others to conduct a needs assessment identifying content requirements. Identify intranet solutions and development of the site, working with 3rd party vendors, to deliver a world class product.
6. Responsible for giving significant advice and counsel, information and/or analysis as it relates to the Web.
7. Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for new technologies and work with management and development team in bringing new technologies.
8. Candidate must be able to work with a minimum of technical supervision while responding efficiently to multiple priorities.
9. Define website security issues, develop plans & procedures and ensure safety & privacy of sites.
