Client is looking for an experienced Microsoft Desktop Management and Optimization professional with a passion for, and in-depth experience in, designing, building, deploying and supporting large world-class enterprise-level Microsoft desktop solutions.

This position will include responsibility for:

Providing pre-sales, post sales and implementation services for clients
Providing senior technical leadership through all project stages for small and large scale desktop management deployments, migrations, virtualization and core infrastructure deployment utilizing the latest Microsoft technologies

Requirements:
Windows desktop deployment, migration assessment, design & implementation.
Architect Team Lead with experience in the following:
• Consultancy, Vendor or large Enterprise experience
• MS Windows Server 2003/2008, MS Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
• Windows XP / Vista Image Deployment / Business Desktop Deployment (BDD)
• Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) experience required
• Knowledge of MS security (Patch Management)
• Expertise with SCCM/SMS and SCOM/MOM, including requirements assessment, design, proofs of concept, pilot implementations, and troubleshooting
• Some expertise with application packaging for SCCM/SMS deployment, including a familiarity with MSI and WISE Install Suite
• Knowledge of application virtualization solutions such as Microsoft Application Virtualization (SoftGrid)
• Experience with automated deployment methodologies (e.g., ZTI) and application packaging / distribution
• Proficiency with scripting languages, multiple packaging / deployment applications, and distribution methods
• Experience with MS application compatibility toolkit (ACT 5) and similar Vista tools.
• Experience with Altiris or Landesk would be a plus

• Project plan development.
• Documentation for migration plan.
• Development of deployment and test plans.
• Experience working as a team leader within a process/project-oriented organization.
• Significant experience within a large scale Windows Enterprise and ability to demonstrate a focus on automation of routine Windows Administration tasks including Patching, Security Auditing, Exchange and SMTP tasks.
• Experience with software package builds for use with SMS/GPO deployment methods
• Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution.
• Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
• The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
• The Consultant must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in an organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations; effectively demonstrate products and solutions; and be able to write customer proposals

Education/Certifications:
MCSE
Bachelors degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
Additional certifications in operating systems, databases and programming languages a plus
