The duties of a Communication Systems Engineer will include but are not limited to:
Performance of requirements analysis, technical planning, trade-off analyses, radio system design, system integration, verification and validation, for radio communications products
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Understands and defines communications architectures

Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 9 years experience with the development of networking communication systems. (MSEE preferred)
Experience with networked communication systems
DOORS requirement management
Experience planning, executing, and tracking task assignments
Technical hardware and/or embedded software design background.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Familiarity with Security Agencies certification processes, specifically NSA Type I evaluation process
3G WCDMA cellular phone protocols
UHF SATCOM system design
Familiarity with Formal Analysis concepts, knowledge of CMMI and ISO-9001 processes
Radio system design experience
Knowledge and application of Communication Security (COMSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) techniques
This position requires an active secret level security clearance.
