Responsible for:
-Managing Database operations, and all things database related
-Assisting with the design and implementation of our platform
-Researching new platform architectures to support business
requirements
-Assisting with complex query development/tuning
-Assisting with data-mining and data warehousing activities

Requirements:
-5-7 years experience
-Bachelors degree
-Motivation and ability to quickly learn
-MySQL experience of at least 4 years
-Strong knowledge of Replication, Clustering, Tuning, Sizing and
Monitoring
-Strong knowledge of RedHat Linux (3 years)
-Strong knowledge of MySQL 5.0 InnoDB
-Strong knowledge or Backup, Recovery, and Upgrade procedures.
-Expectation to be challenged
-High degree of independence and exceptional work ethic
-Has a solid work history, has experience in and enjoyed a .com
environment, strong PHP + MySQL knowledge, good communicator

In addition, the following would be a plus:
-MySQL 5 Certification
-Red Hat Linux Certification
-Experience with large data sets (100M rows+)
-Experience with database sharing
-Familiarity with the Payment Card Industry and various
Acquirers/Processors
-Understanding of the chargeback process
-Has a solid work history, has experience in and enjoyed a .com
environment, strong PHP + MySQL knowledge, good communicator
