Specific responsibilities are to provide the leadership required for successful aerodynamic designs of Fan and Compressor components for flight and ground-based gas turbines that meet aggressive design cycle time and component performance targets. This includes technical and management leadership in the aerodynamic design, computational fluid dynamics analysis, and experimental rig / engine testing of compression systems. Emphasis is on analytical work and testing directed at the performance and operability of compression system modules. Opportunities exist to work on a wide range of products and technical initiatives, including three-dimensional flow analysis, subsonic and supersonic airfoil designs, compressor stability enhancements, and development of design tools for aerodynamic modeling of configurations. Leading and mentoring less experienced engineers will be a key requirement to strengthen the aerodynamic discipline. Successful candidate will need to possess the ability to work on cross-functional teams and establish good working relationships within a Module Center environment.
Candidate Must Have :

* MS or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
* MS with 10-12 years experience or PhD with 6-8 years experience in the turbomachinery field
