NYC Solutions technologies company is looking for a senior networking professional that will cover design, implementation and support of Cisco-based networking environments for Technologies and its customers. In the future, this individual will also be a team leader for a group of engineers covering Cisco-based networking technologies and products. Depending on success and track record with the company, this individual will eventually transition into a role of managing entire Networking Professional Services practice for which includes Cisco Routing & Switching, Security, Wireless, Unified Communications, as well as a range of other networking technologies.

Required experience must include a minimum of 7 years designing, implementing and supporting diverse networking environments of various complexities, ranging from several to hundreds of the following devices:

• Cisco Catalyst switches (Cat Express -6500 series)
• Cisco Routers (800 series-7000 series)
• Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls

Expert knowledge or the following technologies is required

• IP Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
• Switching (VLANs, STP, VTP, LACP/GEC, Trunking, SPAN, QOS)
• IP services (ARP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, GRE, HSRP)
• Security (IPSEC & SSL VPN, AAA, RADIUS, PKI, NAC, 802.1X, IOS firewall)
• QOS (Policy, shaping, congestion management)
• Multicast (routing and switching)
• MPLS

Plusses:

• Experience in professional services field
• Experience with Cisco security products (i.e. Cisco Mars, Cisco ACS)
• Experience with Cisco wireless products
• Experience with global/local load balancing products (F5 Big IP, Cisco CSS, etc)
• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications
• Experience with WAN technologies (OC, SONET, Async, DSL, etc)
• Experience with virtualization products (VMware ESX server)
• Experience with Tier 1 hardware vendors and their products (IBM, HP, Sun, Dell)
• Experience with general concepts and methods of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity technologies
• Experience with enterprise monitoring products for messaging environments (Cisco Works, Tivoli, HP Open View, etc)

Certifications:
• CCNP is a minimal requirement

Location/Travel

This position is based in Midtown Manhattan. Travel to NJ, Westchester and Connecticut areas will be required on rare occasions.

Technical Skills Required:
• Expert knowledge of Cisco hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, etc)
• Expert knowledge of networking and related technologies
