Experienced tech lead to lead a small-to-medium size development team, working with BA, portfolio owner, architect to design and implement systems and applications that meet our business needs to trade excellently.
Core trading portfolio team will includes both project execution capability (PM, BA, QA) and development capability (tech lead, dev), and Core trading tech lead is responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and quality for all applications within that portfolio.
2 plus years of OMS (or similar disciplines) tech lead role, providing team leadership to small/medium size (2-5) development team, working closely with BA/QA members, and holding people accountable for deliverables.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – capability to engage good debates, and convince people based on reasoning not experience.
Strong capability to work with portfolio manager to set dev team direction, and design/articulate and evolve technology roadmap that is aligned with both portfolio roadmap and business vision.
Technical/Architectural Skill
a. Strong foundation of Object-oriented Analysis and design. S/he understands OO principle and has hands-on experience to apply principles to implementation.
b. Verifiable experience to contribute significantly towards platform architecture and design.
c. Ability to solve complex problems with verifiable past hands-on experience with Order Management System or similar disciplines.
d. A pragmatic programmer who can crank out code and have extensive hands-on experience in one of the following environment - C#, Java, C++ (C#/.NET environment preferred).
e. Effective and willing to immerse with (debug/refactor) existing code base.
f. Experience with all stages of SDLC, with the proven ability to execute a development project from inception to completion.
g. Experience with mentoring junior developers.
4. Business Knowledge
a. Hands-on experience working with front office trading systems, particularly OMS space, understands the competitive landscape, having working knowledge of global financial markets, exchanges, etc.
b. Acting as thought partner to both portfolio manager on product roadmap design, and project manager on project execution front.
