Skills – required 



· Experience of electronic trading applications 

· Strong understanding of Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems 

· Excellent communication skills, methodical and a fine attention to detail 

· Unix shell / perl / python scripting skills 

· Good knowledge of database technologies (Microsoft SQL, mysql, Sybase & Oracle) 

· Database scripting skills 

· Previous experience of building application environments from scratch 

· Previous experience of managing changes from Development, SystemTest, UAT into Production 

· Knowledge of networking infrastructure, such as TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, etc 



Skills – nice to have 



· Experience of working in a highly pressurised trading environment 

· Experienced in a client facing role (in technology) 

· Previous experience of working with source control systems 

· Experienced with web servers such as apache 

· Experienced with Tibco EMS and RV 

· Experienced MQ series 

· Understanding of JSP development 

· Experienced with Genoes ITRS
