This group develops and supports analytics and trading platforms for structured fixed income securities, including RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CDO and credit derivatives. This platform is consumed by trading desks, risk management, and other business support groups. 

We are looking for a developer/analyst responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the front office environment. 

Responsibilities: 
• Understand the current applications and business processes, identify extensions and new functionality 
• Provide Level 1 and 2 Support to Mortgage Trading and Analytics Applications 
• Develop and maintain tactical applications and spreadsheets for trading desk for pricing, discovery, analytics, new valuation methodologies and market data 
• Escalate relevant issues to the various owners & up/down-stream groups and Infrastructure groups 
• Perform work on new strategic systems to assist the replacement of spreadsheets 
• Develop and Maintain support documentation 

Requirements: 
• 3-5 years of fixed income industry experience, mortgage analytics, Intex, Bloomberg 
• 3-5 years of experience with Excel, VBA, Net platforms ( C# or VBNet ). Expert in Excel, VBA development environment. 
• Strong relational database experience preferably Sybase 
• Some Shell scripting (ksh, csh), perl, python is desirable 
• Excellent communication (written, oral) and problem solving skills 
• Hands on development and troubleshooting skills 
• Highly motivated, self-starter who can work independently and in a team environment
