Description: Work directly with the Global Head of Customer Insights to:
• Understand the key business challenges faced by regional, local and brand teams, and choose the appropriate Marketing Excellence approaches and tools to pragmatically address key questions
• Audit existing market research and data and fill any necessary gaps. In particular, work with local and/or regional insight teams, and external research agencies to understand the breadth and limitations of the data
• Oversee additional purpose-designed, pragmatic and parsimonious research to ensure that the necessary data is collected to inform Marketing Excellence Analytics and insight generation
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis at all analytical steps of the Mx Framework, ensuring that analysis is driving high- integrity customer insights
• Develop quantitative and/or qualitative Buying Processes, and apply quantitative methods for sizing key -offs, leverage points and behavioral changes
• Build customer segmentations using a high level of statistical rigor, create customer portraits and identify drivers and barriers apply market sizing to segmentations to inform prioritization of target segments
• Develop opportunity profiles for key growth behaviors, including the unconstrained and risk-adjusted value of the opportunity, the approximate required investment and key metrics to assess commercial potential
• Work with global and local market research to ensure that best- practices and technical capabilities are transferred
The successful candidate is required to possess the following:
• Advanced degree required in Marketing/Management/Economics or other quantitative area (mathematics, statistics, or operations research)
• 3-5 year’s experience in Market Research, Insights or a comparable analytically rigorous function
• Deep understanding of statistical methods and/or econometrics, and highly experienced in applying statistical methods to complex data analysis
• Highly advanced technical users of SPSS, EXCEL and other analytical packages (SAS or Stata)
• Ideal candidate will have experience with quantitative analysis, in particular Customer Segmentation and Buying Process
• Strong understanding of all aspects of market research, including quantitative questionnaire design, recruitment and quota management, vendor qualification and selection
