Mandatory Skills* 
• BS or MS in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or acceptable combination of equivalent post secondary education and experience will be considered 

• 7+ yrs in Telecommunications or related engineering (10+ yrs overall). 
• Has advanced industry technical knowledge (Voice / Wireline Telephony Engineering) 
• Possesses a strong understanding of telecommunications tariffs, state and FCC rules and regulations, and inter-carrier compensation (ICC) to define direction and strategy for Client’s voice interconnects and traffic management." 


Technical Skills Required 
• Possesses a strong understanding of networks, telecommunications networks, network principles, voice network, and voice architectures to isolate and correct network inefficiencies. VoIP, IMS etc 
• Possesses a strong familiarity with voice signaling and media protocols (SS7, SIP, ENUM, and RTP) and voice call routing to identify and initiate network optimization initiatives. 
• Performs capacity studies to ensure optimal network performance, proper call routing, route redundancy, and network cost efficiencies. 
• Read/comprehend/recommend changes for agreements, especially traffic exchange agreements." 

Job Roles/Responsibilities* 
• A visionary and innovative engineering lead responsible for continual optimization of the voice network. 
• Independently perform network modeling; perform in-depth business case and ROI analysis; 
• Review and provide recommendations for traffic exchange agreements; 
• Define direction and strategy for voice interconnects and traffic management based on ROI, industry trends, and FCC regulations; and maintain strong internal/external relationships. 
• Defines, and ensures compliance to, voice network performance KPIs including managing the balance between cost and quality. 
• Maintains network budget through cost control and analysis. " 

Qualificaiton 
BE Electronics / Telecommunications / Computer Science Or Electrical Engineering 

Travel 
Intermittent up to 25% 

QualificationsQualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science graduates with 4-7 years of experience.
